Have you ever thought you could get your students to make a school film this year instead of a play? You could film a Jane Austen period drama, adapt a famous Novel or recreate a High School Musical moment. Shoot a music video, Britain’s Got Talent style show, horror comedy, or if you are ambitious film a specially written feature with original storyline. You could screen it at the end of the term year with a black tie red carpet premiere. 

How it Works: The following list shows all the aspects that the students can get involved in and learn:

Pre-Production:Students and Production Crew Develop Story/Idea, Scripts Written, Storyboards Designed, Costumes Designed, Sets Designed, Location Scouting, Budgeting, Casting, Rehearsals 

Production:Assigning Student Crew Roles, Filming, Behind the scenes “Making of”: (to be filmed by students), Stills, Make Up, Lighting, Sound 

Post-Production:Editing Rough Cut, Graphics and Special Effects, Sound Effects, Music, Editing Master Cut 

Red Carpet Premiere: Local Cinema Screening (Black Tie Event)

Funding: Funding for these projects can be obtained through various Arts Associations/Councils or from most County Councils because it is an education based project. Budgets can be fine tuned for smaller projects, some projects we can even film for free.
